All We'll Ever Have

Adoption, reuniting with birth families, subjects we think we understand.  But what about the untold stories? And not the over-sensationalised ones we occasionally read about in a fifty pence magazine in a doctor’s waiting room.  The real stories.

 

The world is getting smaller.  There are alternative fertility treatments, diverse life choices and better access to adoption records.  Social media platforms such as Facebook mean individuals come into contact with people they previously may not have, some of whom they may be related to.  It is the ultimate taboo; something no one dares speak of for fear of judgment, rejection, isolation and even criminal prosecution.

 

But Evren's story has to be told.  Because this is not just a story about sex.  And what happened between Evren and her brother is only a small part of the story anyway, almost a buried chapter. 

 

This is really a story about love.  An ultimate, impossible, heart-breaking love.  An epic love.  A love many people spend their lifetimes searching for, but never finding.
